In Flower Demons, the underworld is nothing to be afraid of.

Branches grow from the head of a warmly lit figure – blossoming and winding as they reach into the darkness at the outer edges of the print. In the foreground, the figure’s hands play a crooked piano. Alpha Centauri Kid calls this supernatural musician a flower demon.

When beginning his latest body of work, ACK did not feel the guidance of the Muse – an energy that assures him he’s aligned with his purpose. Eventually, he stumbled upon Piano Blossoms as an overarching theme, and knew he was on the right path. Every artwork in the series became a reflection of his pursuit of the Muse. On this occasion, the same path also led him to an encounter with another supernatural being.

The 12k digital artwork was transformed into a physical object by printmakers at Make-Ready in London, who worked closely with a.c.k. to introduce layers of texture and glossy highlights to the surface of the print.
