Most works on Avant Arte are available immediately on release day. There are a few exceptions – you can find out more about these below.
Releases
For draw releases, buyers are selected at random to receive an edition from the public allocation of that artwork. Everyone who enters before the draw closes has an equal chance of being selected. Only one entry is allowed per person, and we reserve the right to remove entries that breach our terms and conditions.
To enter, you’ll need to provide a unique email address, a valid shipping address, and a payment card. You may also be required to accept a resale agreement at the time of entry, where applicable. Some draws include an additional verification step—for example, a short form sent to your email after entry.
When you submit your entry, you agree that if selected, your payment card will be automatically charged the full amount outlined at the time of entry. Only successful entries are charged.
The draw takes place after the closing date listed on the edition page. If selected, you’ll receive an email confirming your successful entry, followed by a separate order confirmation. If we’re unable to charge your card or don’t receive payment in time, we may re-run the draw and select a new winner.
If your entry is not selected, no charge will be made. Draw results are typically shared within 8 hours of the draw closing and being processed.
If paying with crypto: The full fiat equivalent is taken at the time of entry and securely held via crypto.com. If your entry is not selected, you will be refunded in full.
Cancellations:
You can cancel your entry at any time before the draw closes by logging into your account at avantarte.com or by contacting us at collecting@avantarte.com.
If your entry is selected in the draw and you choose to cancel your order, you must contact us within 24 hours. In this case, your payment will be refunded, and a processing fee of up to 10% may be applied at our discretion.
For more details, please refer to our Cancellation Policy and Draw Terms and Conditions.
A time-limited edition release will be available exclusively on Avant Arte for a set period of time. The edition size will depend on how many people place an order during this period. Once the release finishes, the edition size will be confirmed and the edition will no longer be available to order.
Please note that works are made to order following the release, so will not be shipped immediately after purchase.
To buy a piece that is released by enquiry you will need to get in touch with us first. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible, at most within a few days.
In an auction, collectors place bids against other collectors to acquire an artwork. When the auction closes, the highest qualifying bid wins and a binding contract of sale is formed.
To participate in a card-based auction, you’ll need to create or sign into your Avant Arte account with a unique email address, and provide a valid shipping address and payment card. You may also be required to accept a resale agreement at the time of entry, where applicable.
When you enter your bid, you agree that if selected, your payment card will be automatically charged the full amount outlined at the time of entry.
You can only place one bid, but throughout the auction you can increase, cancel or withdraw your bid at any time before the auction closes. Once the auction has closed, winning bids are final. If you are a winning bidder, your order is confirmed and cannot be cancelled or modified.
Your card will be charged automatically after the auction closes. Your final charge may include optional framing, shipping fees, and applicable taxes, but will match the full amount outlined at the time you placed your bid.

A ranked auction is an auction format used for limited editions where there is no set price and multiple artworks are available. Collectors place bids to acquire one of the artworks.
Bids can be placed while the ranked auction is live. When the ranked auction closes, bids are ranked from highest to lowest, with the highest-ranking bids winning. If the edition size is X, the X highest qualifying bids are successful and a binding contract of sale is formed for each winning bidder. All winning bidders pay the same final price, equal to the lowest bid to successfully rank.
To participate in a card-based ranked auction, you’ll need to create or sign into your Avant Arte account with a unique email address, and provide a valid shipping address and payment card. You may also be required to accept a resale agreement at the time of entry, where applicable.
You can only place one bid at a time, but throughout the auction you can increase, cancel, or withdraw your bid at any time before the auction closes. Once the ranked auction has closed, winning bids are final. If you are a winning bidder, your order is confirmed and cannot be cancelled or modified.
Your card will be charged automatically after the auction closes. Your final charge may include optional framing, shipping fees, and applicable taxes, and will reflect the final auction price determined at close.

An on-chain auction is an auction format where bids are placed using ETH via a connected crypto wallet. On-chain auctions may operate as either a standard auction (single winner) or a ranked auction (multiple winners).
To participate in an on-chain auction, you’ll need to create or sign into your Avant Arte account and connect a compatible crypto wallet.
Bids can be placed while the auction is live. All on-chain bids are final once submitted and cannot be cancelled or withdrawn, even before the auction closes.
When the auction closes, the highest qualifying bid (or bids, in the case of a ranked auction) wins and a binding contract of sale is formed. If you are a winning bidder, your order is confirmed and cannot be cancelled or modified. Any non-winning bids are refunded automatically.
For ranked on-chain auctions, all winning bidders pay the same final price, equal to the lowest successful winning bid. If your bid was higher than the final price, the difference will be refunded automatically.
In addition to the artwork price, you may be required to pay shipping fees and applicable taxes. For some on-chain auctions, these charges are calculated after the auction closes and invoiced separately before dispatch.

Edition numbers are allocated based on a few key factors.
If a release includes multiple artworks that can be purchased as a set, orders for sets are allocated first and typically receive the lowest edition numbers.
When framing is available, framed orders are prioritised next. This is because the first batch of prints is sent to our framers before the remaining prints are prepared for dispatch.
After these allocations, edition numbers are assigned in the order that purchases are processed. In general, this means that the earlier your order is processed, the lower your edition number is likely to be.
For draw releases, where collectors are selected at random, the order sequence is determined by the time an order is processed during the draw. Your edition number therefore reflects when your order is successfully processed, rather than when you entered the draw.
While this is our standard allocation process, changes may occur if cancellations are received after allocation. We’re unable to confirm edition numbers prior to dispatch or indicate where an order falls in the sequence to guarantee a specific or lower edition number.
When we produce a limited edition, we set aside a number for collectors to apply for pre-order ahead of the release day. You can read more on why we do this in our Allocation FAQs.
Often, demand for pre-orders exceeds the amount we have available, and so we invite collectors who’d like to pre-order to submit an application. As part of this application, we’ll verify shipping and payment details, but your card will not be charged.
For each release, we reserve an allocation for pre-orders for different groups of collectors: some for first-time collectors, some for existing collectors, and so on. These groups are outlined in more detail on this page. Within these groups, we try to assign pre-orders as fairly as possible, giving priority to those who have missed out on editions they've applied for in the past, and those who apply early.
After submitting your application, we’ll charge your card and process your order if a pre-order is available. If not, your application will automatically be entered for a chance to secure an edition through the public allocation.
You can cancel your application at any time by emailing collecting@avantarte.com.
