Let It All Hang Out is a portrait of female pleasure and orgasm, symbolically represented by the central core and biomorphic shapes that ripple outwards – emblematic of Judy's unique yonic iconography that has come to define her career.
But back when Judy created this artwork, the idea of women enjoying sex was even more taboo than it remains today: "When I painted Let It All Hang Out, it scared me to death because it is about the power of female sexuality and the pulsing nature of female orgasm. I love that painting."
The print is embellished with a silkscreen shimmer layer, emulating the hypnotic irradiance of the original large-scale painting.
