Nouveau Realism

Nouveau réalisme was a French art movement in the 1960s that is sometimes considered a European counterpart to American pop art.

The movement was established in 1960 by art critic Pierre Restany and painter Yves Klein during their first collective exhibition at the Apollinaire gallery in Milan.
