Peace was created by Paul Insect in response to the war in Ukraine. The artist began flyposting the work around the UK to champion peace and to stand in solidarity with all those around the world impacted by conflict.

"With over 20 active wars in the world currently, this poster is for the people who have had their lives changed through war."

Avant Arte and Paul Insect have partnered to create a limited edition silkscreen print of Peace to raise funds for the charity, Choose Love. 100% of profits from the edition will go to Choose Love to aid the work they do with local organisations around the world supporting refugees and displaced people.

A uniquely hand finished print of Peace will be randomly allocated to a lucky collector will find out when they open their delivery.

Prints will be dispatched within 4 weeks of the timed release ending. In order to maximise the profits we send to Choose Love, prints will arrive packaged in a tube with a custom sticker. Each print comes with a lithograph poster that was fly-posted across the UK as part of the campaign.

Paul Insect22 collaborationsBritish artist Paul Insect rose to fame in the ‘90s for his pivotal role in the London street art scene. Since then, he’s become a mainstay of British contemporary art – bringing the influence of his DIY roots into his studio practice. In many ways, Insect looks a lot like his paintings: his graphic, mixed-media portraits wear masks that cover their faces, and so does he. “There are two sides to people,” Insect explains, “the side you want everyone to see and the side you would rather keep to yourself.” For Insect, the side he’d rather keep to himself is his appearance, staying anonymous by covering his face online and in interviews. He prefers his art to speak for itself – and the unique, effervescent blend of portraiture, Pop Art, Dada and street art certainly has a life of its own.
