Life is like a lump of wet clay, and we are all sculpting our own lives. Whether it's external factors or internal struggles, it all speaks to the essence of life.

A new sculpture by Johnson Tsang holds a powerful personal story of recovery.
Work in Progress is a limited edition sculpture depicting a face emerging from wet clay, still being shaped by unseen hands. Created during the artist’s rehabilitation from a stroke, it reflects the way life moulds us – sometimes by our own hands, sometimes by forces beyond our control. Reflecting on the experience, Johnson said: “I finally opened my heart and began to embrace everything. Not to draw conclusions about my life, but to accept it with an open mind and let every experience become a cherished memory that will mark and sculpt my later years.”
Each resin-cast sculpture is finished with matte spray paint, creating a smooth texture that emulates the porcelain of Tsang's original work, his signature medium for exploring the depths of the human condition.
